Hey, my name is Jasmin Dobson and I am a Downhill/AT Skier. I have been skiing for 9 years.
Pick me because: I'll break trail, abuse gear, and tell you what I really think.....
About Me
My ambitions plans for next winter: Finish school, give myself a high 5 and pack my bags ... Skiing in India would be a start. Maybe finish the Bugs-Rogers, as I've bailed twice due to poor stability. Perhaps combine a sea kayak trip up the fjords of the coast with some ski mountaineering? I'd like to go back into Waddington and set up a base camp and ski. I haven't had a good epic in awhile (other than my Economics class)... it won't be too hard to plan. Any takers?
Why I Ski: I think the very least you can do in life is to figure out what motivates and inspires you. And live inside that motivation - not just watch it from a distance. Being in the mountains motivates me because it forces me to let go of the familiar. Life is pretty mundane if you live the same day every day. No day is really the same when you are exploring. Plus, it's fun and I've met solid people around the world because of skiing. Time is passing whether you are having fun or not, so you might as well have fun!
Competitions
Competition Results: Big Mountain Comps? ummm ... not really the competitive type (yes, I see the contradiction). Plus, you can't really side-slip & kick turn in a comp.
Lines
Notable Descents: I like ski mountaineering & traverses (McLean-esque). A few summits ... Rainier/Garibaldi/Matier/Meager/Castor-Pollux-Leda/Youngs/Collie/Athabasca/Niblock/Field/Hector/Villarrica/Llaima ...etc etc // Pemby & Lilloet & Juneau Icecap // Many variations of the Wapta Icefields & Birkenhead Divide // Rockies Iceline /Naul Huapi/ Sierra Nevada-Conguillo Traverse // Southern Purcells/Boundary Ranges // Spearhead & Garibaldi Neve/Northern Purcells/Mount Edziza Park/ // Stein Divide / Hurley River & Phelix Creek Horseshoe // & lots shorter trips in the Andes, NZ Alps, Japanese Alps, Selkirks, Monashees, Coast Range, Cascades & Rockies // .. etc .. etc ... .. you get the point

Hey good job in this comp!!
ha ha ha Jaz ... just tell her to wait up once in awhile for the rest of us.
Jas will make sure youre supplied with the necessities. Chocolate, good coffee, and more chocolate. No matter how long the trip. And she can dehydrate ANYTHING! Of course that falls second in importance to her skillful slope smart style that she maintains while finding the sweetest lines and breaking a nice trail.
jas=super competent and stoked to get out there and explore the mountains. she's not afraid to bivy - bushwack - or suffer through big days to get it done ... just make sure the tent is on completely flat ground or she will make you move it..
Jass your one of the best ski partners I have ever had!! From slogging big days in the pass to saving the little trees in the Kootneys. And we cant forget the frigid -18 car camping in the escort!! haha what about the two bite brownies?? If you ever need a friend to help you finish a bag of two bite brownies Jass is the one!!!
Love you lots girl and I cant wait until our next adventure :)

Jaz is a whole package .. skier, mountaineer, climber..... She's at her best with a sharp tool in her hand or on the sharp end of a rope, getting to the top of something far away from any lift line to rip a line down it. And she makes polypro look hot.
Jasmins lines are nothing short of mind blowing. She can shred and she has amazing style on the trail. Everytime I ski with her I'm amazed at what she does. My vote goes to her 100 percent!
I'm pretty sure that Jas has been on every glacier in BC! I love skiing and mountaineering with her, I know that she can get me out of a crevase in 5 minutes or less.
Jasmine is a crazy backcountry skiier and i would definately feel safe following her through the wicked wilderness.
Yeah PPPP-powder-face,
It's easy to see Jas loves fresh face-shots of crisp, fluffy-white hexagonal precip and that's why she should get the gear.
LD50
Lady...you make skiing in mom jeans look good. Nuff said.
F-U-N, fun! this is the girl of choice, not to mention a passionate skier.
all i know is that jas is a rippin' fun skier to go out with.. and my girlfriend says she is too.

In case you were wondering if there is a smart, charging, dance-a-maniac, baker extraordinaire... big mountain diva.. yup. there certainly is. and she can dirtbag with the best of them or clean it up and dazzle you with her big beautiful smile. A smile that is as big as her laugh. ThIS IS yOUR GIRL!!!!!!!
Jas is one of the best skiers I know and also the greatest teacher!
Jas = wickedest skiier I know. Plus, you dont give me a hard time for being a snowboarder so you are also a diplomat of sorts and a great ambassador for all skiiers.
Whenever I've been out with you I've always been challenged by you and you always find the best route for everything!!!
Kudos! My votes for you!
